Life after Spring Break

Life went back to normal after spring break. I went back to school and Ryan did silly things like picnicking in the garage.

We had a party out at Davis' farm where we ran wild, painted birdhouses, hit pinatas, and ate icecream until we were sick.

We played "Super Baby" with Emily.

I lost my very first tooth!!!!!!!!

Emily ate food for the first time.

and posed for pictures on her 6th month birthday.

Finally, Henry and Adam came for a visit on their way to Virginia Beach.

Now we are gearing up for summer....the pool, the beach, and the lake!
Well, spring has come and gone and it's feeling a lot like summer around here.  Three more weeks of schools and then I am home free!!!  I can't wait to sleep in, playoutside all day, and stay up late (although I think Mom probably has other plans for me on that one).

Spring was fun....we saw the Easter Bunny at church and had a fun egg hunt.

Ryan had a playdate birthday party and showed off in some pink sunglasses.

and then had a lunch date with Mom while I was at school.

This is my class getting ready for an Easter Egg Hunt before Spring Break.

Then, the day before school let out, we had Field Day.  This is my teacher, Mrs. Johnson.  We did all kinds of fun relay races and then got to leave school before noon!

Easter was fun. Grandma and Grandaddy spent the night and the Easter Bunny brought all kinds of fun stuff.

Then, everyone else came over and we had an Easter Party and Egg Hunt.  Miss Emily looked really pretty!

It was my first Spring Break and Ryan and I got to go home with Grandma and Grandaddy to spend a few nights. We were so excited and then I came down some type of stomach bug and spent the whole visit on the couch.  They took really good care of me, though....it was better than being at home!

Mom and Dad tried to make up for it by taking us to Busch Gardens that Friday.

(Dad made me ride some silly kiddy ride with Ryan)

We were worn out and passed out before we left Williamsburg.

We got a second wind, though, and left the next morning for the lake house with MiMa and PaPa. We spent the entire weekend fishing and playing and it was so much fun!

Spring Break ended up being really fun!  It went by way too quick and I'm still holding on to my raincheck to spend a few nights with Grandma and Grandaddy this summer!

Spring has sprung around here, so we've been so busy playing outside that I haven't had time to update my blog. Maybe a monthly post is a more realistic goal!

February was a good month. I had a Valentine's dance at school and mom and I went. It took me a little while to get into it, but by the end, I was dancing on the stage.
That's not a very good picture because the place was pretty crazy. Dancing kids and strobe lights everywhere. Mom said she can only imagine what the middle-school dances are going to be like (but she assured me that she would be there to find out)!

Valentine's Day was really exciting because Mom and Dad gave me a Kindle Fire.  I was obsessed with it at first but it's lost some of it's luster now, especially since the weather is so nice.

We had a little at-home photo shoot with Emily, trying to catch some smiles.

Ryan took a class with his buddy, Anna, at Maymont.  It's the exact same class that I took when I was little and Mom said he loved it.  After every class, they got to go through the Nature Center and then have a snack outside.

In March, Mom and I ran a race at my school. I did the 1-mile Heart Hop with Mom and then she did the 5k afterwards.  I ran the whole entire thing and told Mom that next year, I'm running with my friends because she just slowed me down.

I had my last basketball game and they had this really fun festival to celebrate! They had sno-cones, jumpies, and lots of games.  Ryan and I had a lot of fun checking everything out.

The warm weather means dad has to cut the grass again. We don't like it when he has to do that because that means he can't play with us. But, this year, he let us help him!!

Emily stays outside with us all of the time, but she really enjoys being inside where she can actually play!  She loves to sit on our laps, lay under her toys and kick them, and just roll around the floor.  I guess next spring, she'll enjoy being outside more when she can actually play soccer with us!

We are excited about Easter coming up and Spring Break!!! I get a whole week off and I think we are going to do something fun!

Happy Birthday Ryan!!

Ryan turned two a couple of weeks ago and while he didn't have a big shindig of a party, he got to celebrate for a couple of days.  Mom and Dad also gave him a trip to Great Wolf Lodge this upcoming weekend, so we'll still be celebrating!  I love it when he gets things like that for his birthday because I get it, too!!

Blowing out his candles at his playdate party

 His buddies enjoying cake

Emily in her party dress

emily was so pooped out from the party that she fell asleep in the swing that afternoon

On Ryan's actual birthday, we went to the Children's Museum with Mom and MiMa

Picasso hard at work

Just hanging out

Emily slept through the whole thing

Then, we had lunch at Jason's Deli where Ryan made quite a mess

I was much cleaner!

That weekend, we had a little basketball.....

 Which, again, Emily slept through

Then, another birthday party for Ryan...with pizza and brownie

The birthday boy in all his glory

Whew! Celebrating birthdays around here is exhausting!  It's two weeks later and we still aren't finished since we are leaving for Great Wolf Lodge on Sunday (actually, we aren't supposed to know about that...but i overheard Mom and Dad talking).  I guess we'll be recovering from this birthday for another month!
