Kindergarten

Well, we made it!  and by 'we,' I mean, Mom.  She didnt even cry when she put me on the bus--but she did follow the bus to school and take my picture again.  Crazy lady!

Kindergarten is even more awesome than I ever expected!  I love riding the bus with my friends, I love my teacher, and kindergarten is fun all day long!!!  My teacher is Mrs. Johnson and she is so nice--and she said that we are the best kindergarten class in the whole school.

I get on the bus around 720a so Mom and Dad have to wake me up, which kind of stinks.  We get to school and go straight to our classrooms and start our day. I have about 16 other kids in my class and my friend, Bailey, from my preschool, sits right across from me.  So far, we haven't learned how to read but we've been learning all the rules for the class and the school.  I've been a really good boy and Mrs. Johnson told Mom that I was a sweet boy--gotta keep up the act!!!

I hope school continues to be this much fun and I cannot wait to learn how to read!

Well, summer is officially coming to an end. Tomorrow is the last day and I start school on Tuesday. I can't believe I'm going to be a kindergartener!  Mom is a wreck but she's trying to put on a brave face for me.  We went to my school and met my teacher and all of my classmates so I'm getting pretty excited.

We had some friends over tonight to celebrate the end of summer...some of my buddies who are going to different schools.  We had a blast and I know I'll still get to see them lots.  When I took a bath tonight, I told Mom that it feels good to have friends. I know I'll make lots more in kindergarten but I really love the ones I already have.

So, of course, the rest of the summer has been filled with lots of fun stuff.  We took a family vacation to Myrtle Beach and stayed in this awesome place that had it's own water park. Mom was disappointed that Ryan and I wanted to spend more time there than at the beach but what did she expect?!    We went Saturday through Thursday and made it home just in time to get ready for Hurricane Irene. We lost power for a few days, which really stunk.  Mom kept trying to tell us that we should just be thankful that we didn't lose anything and that a long time ago, people didn't EVER have electricity but honestly, that didn't make me feel any better about the situation.  I was SO glad to get it back, have some air-conditioning, and play my Wii.

Anyway, here's some pictures. I'll be back this week to update on my first day of school!!!
